Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of UnderRhythm ("the site", "we", "us"). By using the site — and in particular by creating an account — you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with them, simply don't use the site.

1. What UnderRhythm is

UnderRhythm is an unofficial, non-commercial fan project: a player for fan-made music and artwork inspired by Undertale and related fan universes. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Toby Fox or any other original rights holder. The site earns no money: there are no ads, no paid features, and no donations collected through it.

2. Music, artwork, and credit

• All rights to the music and artwork playable on the site remain with their respective creators. UnderRhythm claims no ownership of any of it.
• Every track's musician and artist are credited, with links where available, on the Credits page.
• If you are the author of a track or artwork featured here and want it credited differently or removed, contact us (section 8) — we will resolve it promptly and in your favour.
• The site is for personal listening. Don't rip content from it for redistribution — go support the original creators instead.

3. Accounts

• Registration requires a username, an email address, and a password, and is only for people old enough to agree to these Terms on their own under the law of their country.
• One account per person. Don't impersonate others, and don't create accounts for spam or abuse.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done under your account.
• You can leave at any time: deleting your account from your profile immediately and permanently erases it, along with all data attached to it (see the Privacy Policy).
• We may suspend or delete accounts that abuse the site — spam, automated abuse, attempts to break authentication or rate limits, or other behaviour that harms the site or its users.

4. Acceptable use

• Don't scrape, flood, or hammer the site or its API; use it the way a listener would.
• Don't attempt to bypass security measures, rate limits, or authentication, and don't probe for vulnerabilities. If you found one by accident, we'd genuinely appreciate a quiet heads-up (section 8).
• Keep anything you submit through linked forms respectful and lawful.

5. Availability — a hobby project

UnderRhythm is maintained in free time, as a labour of love. Tracks, artwork, and features may be added, changed, or removed at any moment without notice, and the site may occasionally be slow, broken, or offline. We make no promises about uptime or about any content staying available.

6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

7. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the site evolves. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes. If you keep using the site after an update, that means you accept the new version; if you don't agree with a change, stop using the site and, if you wish, delete your account from your profile.
